While many couples are still going to the jewelry store to pick out a modern-style ring, there are definitely a growing number that prefer vintage models.

Nothing seems to be sacred with the new trends, as many couples are also showing that they do not feel an engagement ring has to have a diamond! Among the choices of gemstones that are being made include colored diamonds, topaz, or even opals! A lot of jewelry buyers feel that these types of gemstones are a better reflection of their personalities than diamonds are, and they are often more affordable, to boot.

The great thing about engagement rings today is that just about anything goes, so you are truly free to choose whatever ring you feel is most appropriate for your own taste and feelings, instead of following what everyone else is doing!
